Spring Sessions 2011 – Storytelling. Exhibition By Acoustic Traditional 2nd July Lamakaan, Banjara Hills
After conducting 2 events at (Page Turners and Goobies Book Republic) Bangalore we are glad to organise one more event at Hyderabad.
The event is an integral part of Acoustic Traditional’s effort to
engage mainstream communities and youth on tribal folklore (myths and
legends) through storytelling and creative engagement. With a key
focus on popularising some of the disappearing myths and folklore of
various ethnic communities, in furtherance to the previous years’
Indigenous Storyteller’s Festival, Gangtok, Sikkim and the
record-breaking Great Story Wall Project, the event hopes to build
awareness on the various ethnic groups (festival participants) and
their amazing legacy of storytelling while trying to bring their
relevance in urban India.
The event marks the beginning of a national tour (until 2012) which
will be hosted at various cities in an effort to engage more
organisations, communities, media and individuals in the preservation
of this disappearing tradition – storytelling.
